Definite Warning for trigger... dark stuff inside.
Sentinels

It was still.
Quiet.
A thousand sighs echoed across the wind.
We stood together, all of us.
Bound by love.
Some by despair.
Allied.
No one cried.
The towns were silent.
And cities were still.
Dead in the water.
Peace all around
And still we were together.
No one cried.
The flames were gone.
All was calm.
No streams did bubble forth.
Not one life called.
Many, thousands, were gone.
Yet we still stood, watching the land.
Our stone wings spread, with nothing to protect.
No one came.
Clear As Day

His jeans, on the floor
Next to the beer stain from Christmas last
Their movies mix together now
Not so different in taste from his ex-girlfriend
But different enough in personality
People ask why him
Why another man, what's the lure
He doesn't tell them
It's not the smell
It isn't even the fact that the sex is different
Rougher
He can hold him the way he couldn't hold her
Grip tight enough to leave bruises
And smile afterwards at the purple splotches
Like crayon on tan canvas
It's not his voice
Nor is it the play wrestling
Or the fact that they can share clothes easily
If he had to really describe it
He would say it has to be love
Why else would they tangle in bed together
So much like exhausted pups
Or kiss quietly
Dry and soft or deep or wet
He and Kieran are soulmates
Plain and simple
Interesting Messes

The urge to do right
The penchant to do wrong
It's never perfect
And always lateral
The confusion reigns
The clarity's gone
It's never winning
And sometimes fatal
That exhilaration
The blistering heat
It's pure embarrassment
Extreme stupidity
The red faced anger
No inner peace
Ruined all the way through
Can't be salvaged
It's in directed
This incompetence
It's never gotten over.
Always reminders
Everyone sees it
Everyone knows
The shame is solid
The circle's closed.
It's Whatever

It's that feeling
Like you don't exist
Like you're transparent
But not at the same time
It's that knowledge
Like you're unnoticeable
Part of the crowd
Yet still separate
It's that pain
Like you're screaming out loud
Like your making it obvious
But you're not being blunt
It's that hint
Like something's not right
Like it's all for show
Yet you don't notice
It's that smell
Like a whiff of a wisp
Like a waft of a tang
But not recognizable
It's whatever
Not quite here or there
Not simple nor clear
And unassuming
It's everything
But not as you'd expect
And not as she speaks
Intangible
It's nothing
Nothing of note
Nothing to fear
Because she's still here.
